Importance of Governance for Retail Investors – To Protect Investors And To Ensure Long Term Value Creation

Good corporate governance is key to the integrity of corporations, financial institutions and markets and central to the health and stability of our economies and as a means to protect investors and to ensure long term value creation for all stakeholders. Research also shows that good corporate governance leads to better performance. A report by OECD, highlights the importance investors have in promoting good corporate governance.

For the first time, as part of the Singapore Corporate Governance Week, SIAS is organizing a seminar on the Importance of Governance for Retail Investors. Highlights of the seminar includes:

  3. What do investors want from audit statements?
  4. What are my rights in corporate actions?
