MR. HENG SWEE KEAT
Managing Director
Monetary Authority of Singapore
Mr. Heng, as the Managing Director of the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), oversees the policies
and operations of MAS. MAS serves as the central bank of Singapore, as well as an integrated supervisor of
the financial services industry, covering banking, insurance and capital markets.
Prior to this, Mr. Heng was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry, overseeing
economic policy, trade negotiations, and the regulation and development of industry. Before assuming this
appointment, Mr. Heng was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Trade Development Board. Mr. Heng
has also served in the Prime Minister's Office and in various positions in the Singapore Civil Service.
Mr. Heng graduated with an MA in Economics from the Cambridge University, United Kingdom. He also
holds a Master of Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University. |

MR. HO KWON PING

Mr Ho Kwon Ping (“KP”) is Executive Chairman of Banyan Tree Holdings. KP is also Chairman of Singapore
Management University, the third national university in Singapore; Chairman of MediaCorp Pte Ltd, the
national television and radio company; member of Asia-Pacific Council of The Nature Conservancy;
member of the Global Advisory Council of London Business School; member of the International
Council of the Asia Society; member of the INSEAD International Council.
KP has been honoured with many awards. In 2005, he was named as one of 100 Global
Leaders for Tomorrow at the World Economic Forum and the 25 Stars of Asia by
Business Week magazine. He was bestowed the 2005 Entrepreneurship Award by the
London Business School as well as Lifestyle, Hospitality & Retail Entrepreneur of the
Year from Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award (2006). In 2008, he was
named CEO of the Year at the Singapore Corporate Awards and Hotelier of the
Year at the Stylemaker Awards. In 2009, KP was the joint recipient of
the Hospitality Lifetime Achievement Award at the prestigious China Hotel
Investment Summit and most recently, he was awarded the Meritorious
Service Medal for his significant contribution to the success of
the Singapore Management University. |
