Deutsche Bank launches Vietnam ETF
DEUTSCHE Bank, through its exchange traded fund (ETF) provider db x-trackers, has launched the first Singapore Exchange-traded ETF that covers the Vietnam market.
The FTSE Vietnam Index is based on ordinary shares of companies incorporated in Vietnam and listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange.
As its sector coverage includes materials, technology, financials and utilities, investors in FTSE Vietnam ETF have the opportunity to gain broad exposure to the Vietnam equity market.
With the addition of FTSE Vietnam, Deutsche Bank now has five ETFs listed on the SGX. The other SGX-listed ETFs are S&P 500 Short, FTSE/Xinhua China 25, S&P CNX Nifty and MSCI Taiwan TRN Index.
Deutsche Bank said it will be introducing more ETFs. 'db x-trackers is committed to offering a comprehensive ETF product range to investors in Singapore. The five ETFs available on SGX now cover country, short and leveraged products which fits different investment objectives and risk appetites,' said Thorsten Michalik, global head of db x-trackers ETFs, Deutsche Bank.
