Daniel's involvement with Care Corner Singapore Ltd began in 1990 when he and his wife had volunteered to serve people from poor economic backgrounds who were inflicted with the lupus disease. Together, they worked with not just the lupus patient, but the patient's entire family in a holistic approach.
In the following years, Daniel served in various capacities at Care Corner, taking on the role of board director and member of several executive sub-committees. He was appointed Board Chairman of Care Corner Singapore Ltd in 2011.
More recently, Daniel was instrumental in leading a restructuring exercise at Care Corner where the various Care Corner charity entities were consolidated into two main charity companies: the existing parent company – Care Corner Singapore Ltd; and a new seniors services company – Care Corner Seniors Services Ltd, which was set up to expand Care Corner seniors work so as to meet the increasing needs of the ageing population.
The consolidation exercise ensured that Care Corner would be better equipped to address the needs of its clients with greater focus, depth and responsiveness while still striving towards its goal of providing quality and innovative services which addressed the changing, diverse and complex needs of a highly urbanised and globalised Singapore society.
Daniel has been a business owner and Chief Executive of an Internet ISP Business: LGA Telecom Pte Ltd since 1995.
