I went to attend an AGM as I thought it would be an eye opening experience and I want to see what rights a retail investor has. I only had 1 lot of shares of the company I bought, yet I was allowed in. It was interesting as I got to see the management of the company and listen to the questions the other investors asked. I was hoping for a nice buffet spread but was only given a small pack of snacks. I think it is important for investors to attend AGMs so that they are well informed of the plans of the companies.
